Conscious Luxury

We believe that beautiful things should not leave a scar on the planet. Our commitment to sustainability is carved into every piece we make.

Read Our Pledge

Heirlooms, Not Landfill

In a world of fast furniture and disposable trends, Inlay Craft stands for permanence. We adhere to the philosophy of 'Slow Furniture.'

We do not mass-produce. We do not use particle board or plastic veneers. We build with Solid Mahogany—one of the densest, most durable timbers on earth. Designed to withstand the test of time, our furniture is meant to be passed down from one generation to the next. The most sustainable piece of furniture is the one you never have to replace.

The King of Woods, Mahogany

Our primary material is Solid Mahogany, chosen for its legendary durability and resistance to decay. But with great quality comes great responsibility.

We strictly source our timber from government-regulated plantations and VRIKSH-certified suppliers. We practice Selective Harvesting—taking only mature trees to ensure the forest canopy remains intact and biodiversity thrives. For every tree harvested, saplings are planted in its place. By choosing Mahogany, we are choosing a carbon store that will remain in your home for decades, not in a landfill.

Camel bone looks unreal. Make it raw

Honor & Upcycling

We strictly use camel bone derived from animals that have died of natural causes. In Rajasthan, camels are domestic animals, vital to transport and agriculture. When they pass, we utilize the bone—a material that would otherwise be discarded—giving it a second life as art. We hold a zero-tolerance policy against poaching or harm.

Ocean Safe

Our Mother of Pearl and Abalone shells are sourced from government-regulated suppliers. We ensure our materials are not on the CITES endangered list. Much like our wood, these shells are often byproducts of the food industry, repurposed to create the shimmering iridescence that defines our collection.

Preserving a Dying Art

Sustainability is also about people. The art of Bone Inlay is centuries old, but it risks extinction as younger generations move to factory jobs.

By paying our master artisans 25-30% above the market average and ensuring safe, well-ventilated workshop conditions, we make craftsmanship a viable and respected career. When you buy from Inlay Craft, you are directly supporting a guild of 30+ families in Udaipur, keeping their heritage alive

The workshop is cluttered and authentic, with tools, wood scraps, and dust floating in shafts of natural sunlight streaming through a large window. The moment is spontaneous. The Zero Waste Workshop

Inlay work is inherently efficient. Because the patterns are made of thousands of tiny fragments, we can utilize almost every part of the raw material.
